Jeremiah Doughty
Jeremiah is one of the most influential hunting icons in the game and luckily, we had the pleasure to interview him and ask him a few questions.
Jeremiah hunts not to kill. He is much more passionate about the outdoor sport than most. He even quotes, "pulling the trigger is the least exciting part of the process".
Jeremiah hunts to explore, he hunts to provide for his family, which is becoming more of a rarity everyday. He hunts because his passion for the outdoors is far greater than the average norm.

Mr. Doughty is widely know in the hunting industry for bagging a bird or any type of wild game, then immediately finding delicious ways to serve it to himself, friends, or family. His brand "From Field To Plate" catches a lot of attention from most average hunters. His website includes videos of "how to" properly clean or field dress specific animals. When did you say, "Screw it, I'm Outy" and choose the path you did?
I tore my calf muscle, and as I sat on my couch healing, I realized I hated my current job in the restaurant, hated being away from my family. When it was time to go back to work or change my path and follow my dream, I jumped in and followed my dream. That was in July 2016 and I haven't looked back.
What were some obstacles you had trying to reach your goals?
Leaving the guaranteed cash flow with a family who was looking to me for support. That was the biggest fear and obstacle. But, that was also the drive and motivator I needed to make sure I didn't go back to what I was doing before. Once you're faced with a decision, you have two choices: 1. Run back the way you came. 2. Grab a bottle of water and charge it. I decided to charge it.
What advice would you give someone who's just starting out wanting to pursue the same path as you?
Don't give up! When you feel you're falling, don't start reaching, stay true to who you are and don't give up. Many folks trying to break out into the outdoor industry are trying to get famous. With this attitude, you will 99% of the time fail. Find an area and stick with it, become the best. When you're good, you seek others, but when you're great, others seek you.
What are your future plans?
I am working on creating a youtube series called "Dirty for Dinner", it will be a journey of real people and real food. My goal is to take out 40 new adult hunters this year as well!
